The biggest problem with relationships today is MOST WOMEN HAVE FORGOTTEN THEY ARE WOMEN BECAUSE MOST MEN AREN'T DOING THEIR JOB!

The fact that is most relationships women are taking the children to school, cooking, paying the bills, the insurance and house is in their name. In essence most women are running the household and when a their husband/man/friend wants to assert himself as the man of the house, a conflict arises. When a woman is tasked with the duties of the man of the house, so goes the responsibilities of the man, so goes the respect a man thinks he should get. If you are not taking care of your responsibilities as a man, how can you be the man of the house? Until most men (not all) get off their asses and take care of their homes we will always have problems in the household!

This is truly unfortunate. I am going to take this from the view of a woman that was raised by a two parent household. My dad worked, brought the money home, mom paid the bills. Same held true with both sets of my grandparents. That's what I look for and that's what I expect.

Now if the situation is such that my man doesn't know how to pay bills or he know how to do some things around the house that I know how to do, then we will have to me compromises. At pre-40, I may or may not find a man that will do all the wonderful things that men are supposed to do. But I am not going to run down a checklist for a man to meet some standards becuase I have some flaws. One requirement/standard that I have set in my later years is PLEASE BE LEGALLY GAINFULLY EMPLOYED. If he don't know what that is, he needs keep stepping. He doesn't have to make 6 figures, or drive the badest car or live in the wonderful zip code. But he does need to love and respect me for the flaws that I have and be able to work with me.

As a woman, one of the most important things we need to know how to do is support our man. If he loses his job, know how to encourage him to pick himself up and find another. We need to make him feel good about who he is and be there for him. Not just sexually, but spirtually and emotionally. Be his friend, his lover, his playmate, his sounding board, his freak, his biggest supporter.
