The Road Warriors

What has happened to MLF? Does anybody know? What happened to the days of teams having pride for showing up to a game even if they only had 15 players because they refuse to forfeit? What happened to guy’s car pooling and traveling across states just to make it to the game? What happened to the die hard players would sleep 10 to a room so everyone could afford to make the trip? I say all of this because I use to be one of those guys. I have torn up 1 vehicle, two transmissions, one marriage, and several thousand dollars playing Minor League Football but I just don’t see that dedication anymore, no where near it.
I can remember times when myself, Rome, Hakee, The Great Six, Dan Davis, H2, Mac37 and several others made a way to get to games (including the Philly Crew). There was no doubt we would be at the games, no matter what! We may have bitched for a minute about the location but after 10 minutes of bitching somebody was on the phone getting rental vans and taking shifts to get us there.
Had we been faced with going to Cali a few years ago when I was playing guess what? We would have been there! And contrary to popular belief I can only remember CPP taking a BUS 1 Time! It’s entirely too much bitchin about where you have to play.
I tip my hat to the “Road Warriors” who use to call MLF home and to the few who remain, and to the rest………………show some pride about yourself and man the hell up!
We ALWAYS made a way out of NO WAY! Maybe some of you should try it!
